I've just heard 'The Best Of Kitaro' and am blown away by it!!! Can anyone recommend any albums by Kitaro worthy of investigation by this new fan?

i bought an LP called Silk Road by chance from a triangular shaped record shop in leicester...useless background info aside, it was an excellent choice...i believe that it was the soundtrack to a television series around 1980 and it evokes a journey, a spiritual journey to enlightenment...the album was recently remastered on cd i believe and should be available in the world music sections of hmv or mvc...it is electronic but also mixes in traditional instruments that have been used for centuries (but of course you must know that biggrin)...certainly in the same league as Vangelis, perhaps like QE2 crossed with Voyager?...anyway, Silk Road (the original, I haven't heard the second volume) is my recommendation...

Thanks Oliver. I will certainly check Silk Road out! What I've heard so far is sublime... Cheers,
