Navaira Group: Members Posts: 481 Joined: Jan. 2005 Posted: Nov. 13 2010, 18:13 Kanye West's new album, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" opens with the (sort of) title track, "Dark Fantasy", which samples the "can we get much higher?" line from "In High Places". Navaira Group: Members Posts: 481 Joined: Jan. 2005 Posted: Nov. 14 2010, 18:03 Mind you, this youtube clip cuts off the (rather amazing) intro :P I am not a fan of Kanye personally but a hiphop artist sampling Mike Oldfield -- and NOT Tubular Bells introduction bit -- is sort of automatically interesting to me! How have they heard of "In High Places" - hidden on side 2 of Crises - must be a MO fan then?? It would be cool if it turns out he's a real live MO fan (or Yes fan). I'm also surmising about him using only the one line from the the "In High Places" song - I'm wondering if his rapping is about getting 'high' - if he's using it in that context? -------------- Barn's burnt down - now I can see the moon.
