It explores so many atmospheres and environments, in a similar way that Tubular Bells did, but this time with more mysticism and fantasy. It's a work of great musicianship and imagination, and is certainly NOT tacky new age, background music for the spa or massage parlour!! Open your ears and open your mind to this album. It's not like, industrial soundscapes or music conrete or something...Plus the albums you mention are very, very different from TSODE. And if only TSODE did sound like weird background music for a spa, then I would proably like it.
