balozier2010 Group: Members Posts: 4 Joined: July 2010 Posted: July 24 2010, 03:54 Question: I recently found online a solo piano work credited to both Oldfield and Enya. Musically, it sounds like the very beginning of Sentinel from Tubular Bells II (albeit this cut is, I am guessing, in F major, whereas Sentinel began in G major). Did Oldfield ever put out a piano solo of the intro to Sentinel, or is this a non-Oldfield work I have, being passed off as his? If it helps, anybody can PM me and I will send them the mp3 of the track in question. Back to top

If I am allowed to do so, I will post it to a file-sharing server, and post the download link in this thread. Ugo Group: Members Posts: 5495 Joined: April 2000 Posted: July 24 2010, 18:37 I have heard this piece lots and lots of times, I've even burned it on a CD. Its full title is "A Piano Tribute to Mike Oldfield and Enya" and it was created by a guy named Edvard Poldrugo, from Sweden. It's the beginning of "Sentinel" [or "Main Theme 2 from Tubular Bells II", as I usually call it ] + some very free variations on Enya's "Watermark". A few other Enya snippets are also mixed in.
