I think I'd kind of expected it, after Guilty. I'd have been slightly disappointed, it's weaker, as illustrated by the fact it's better live. It cannot been considered to be a masterpiece.

It must have felt incredible to be a fan at the times of Ommadawn and Incantations. You get Ommadawn, and while you're still shocked, boom, Incantations.

Imagine being a fan in 1973-5: TB, HR and then Ommadawn in the space of just over 2 years - it's just as well there was a 3 year break until Incantations :)

It's better to be fan now.
You are born and imidietly OMGWFTBBQ so many albums!
And then you listen to them for years again and again and again and again and wonder when you get tired of them and again and again and again still not tired and again and again and again ok I tried other music too but you still continue again and again and again... Never ending story!

So you mean that with "only" TB, HG, O, Inc, you'd get tired of listening to them again and again and again? But with The Millennium Bell in the mix, it's not tiring?

The gap between Ommadawn and Incantations seemed like an AGE at the time.  W'd thought he'd given up recording.

Then a bigger shock was that the guy on the cover of Incanations wasn't actually Mike Oldfield but someone else - what had happenned to the hippy from Ommadawn?  The music however was spectacular, his best.

All you chaps who ordered replacements should expect to see them in the next few days. I suggest that if you haven't received it by next Friday, getting in touch with the company.

There was no identifying mark on the envelope, but I contacted the same Universal-related email address as everyone else.

Disc is visually identical to the original (though I haven't checked the serial numbers etc)

You would have thought there would have been a letter or note from Universal .
If you think about it you could contact them not even having bought the disc and get one for free .

So if it is blue, it is intended to replace the Deluxe Edition disc, as the normal edition is orange. Thanks!

I received my replacement CD today. Yay! The glitch at 12'38'' is now fixed which is nice. However, I may be imagining things but I don't think I am, I can hear a smaller, much less obvious glitch now at 12'40'' which wasn't there before. Does anybody else hear it? The second entrance of the double clap and sleighbells is ever so slightly early as if a tiny bit has been chopped out. It's very slight though and nothing like as noticeable.
