Yes, that damned video!!

Bloody hell, it made me feel for that poor little lad and his lovely face, - and remembering the picture of his bother playfully pushing his chest and Mike poking back, but careful not to hurt. Makes it more tragic somehow, and sad that this gentle little guy had to later bear such pain and suffering.

We all do, Wiga. To quote Hopkins' poem, It's the blight man is born for.

Sorry, but who is Hopkin?

Gerard Manley Hopkins, O lover of HR. The poem I'm referring to is called "Spring and Fall: To a Young Child". Oh, all right: here it is:

Spring and Fall: To a Young Child

Márgarét, are you gríeving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?
Leáves, líke the things of man, you
With your fresh thoughts care for, can you?
Ah!  ás the heart grows older
It will come to such sights colder
By and by, nor spare a sigh
Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie;
And yet you wíll weep and know why.
Now no matter, child, the name:
Sórrow's spríngs áre the same.
Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed
What heart heard of, ghost guessed:
It ís the blight man was born for,
It is Margaret you mourn for.

I don't know exactly if this poem is about growing older, because I'm not from an English speaking country. But that's my interpretation of it. I sometimes think of how I hate to be growing older. Everything seemed to affect me more. Even with MO´s music. The first time I heard taurus 1 was just incredible. I still think it is incredible but the feeling seems to fade out everyday a little more.
Sorry for my pessimistic views I hope it doesn´t spoil your Christmas at all.
Happy Christmas and a happy New Year!

Well I must confess that he really seemed to pull it off with Incantations for me. HR has also given me this wonderful feeling, but the feeling I got from Incantations was way stronger. In fact it is way stronger than anything I have ever felt. It's like a total freedom, some sort of nirvana.

You talk with great passion HR lover :)

You have inspired me to play Incantations today. It effects me in a similar spiritual way to you - and for some reason it sounds best at Christmas time I think. Today there's snow on the ground here in the UK, which is unusual for November, but the atmosphere outside really does set the scene perfectly for Incantations.

So I'm not the only one   I feel the first 4 MO albums flow best in winter maybe with the exception of 'Ommadawn', which has a "springey" feel to me.
