Topic: House where demos were recorded, where?< Next Oldest | Next Newest >

Don't know if this has come up before but I was curious to know exactly the exact location of the house where MO recorded his demos.

According to Changeling it was in Kevin Ayers' rented house in Tottenham, where Mike had a first floor room, where he recorded the demo having borrowed and modified KA's B&O tape recorder in order to multi-track.

He says the house was "in Westbourne Gardens  in Tottenham, just off the Seven Sisters Road" - now the Seven Sisters road is very long, but according to Google Maps Westbourne Gardens is miles away in West London!

Anyone any ideas, or even know for sure where the house is?

In the most recent interview with Johnnie Walker he said it was Woodside Gardens. This is a little further north of Seven Sisters Road.

Do you think Kevin would remember? Stories from that time period seem to indicate that some people were drinking from time to time.
