I might just as well be , as I'd completely forgotten what I'd written about almonds in Inkanta's tubular cookies thread.

Hahahaha! Aww nightspore, I'm just glad I'm not the only one that suffers from...well, whatever it is. It's our brain on technology... you might enjoy Nicholas Carr's The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to our Brains. Actually, I enjoyed it more for the history of reading and books (hmm....did I mention this in another topic recently?) . <runs off to do a search> Guess not. The news isn't all that bad, actually.

Anyway, pleased to meet you! Welcome to the forums!

And when we are old and on the Alzheimer's ward (I am pretty sure one of my grandmothers suffered from Alzheimer's, so I mention this in a scared sort of way), listening to Mike Oldfield's albums will be like being introduced to a new work on a daily basis...although researchers do suggest that besides the sense of smell, music is most tied to our memories. So maybe we stand a chance!

I thought so--but I couldn't find it via the search feature. Sometimes I can't distinguish between what I thought about posting vs. what I posted. And..I've been involved in several discussions about the book elsewhere. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it! :p

Hello....I'm new here. :)

BTW--nightspore--you will LOVE Incantations -- if you've never listened to it, I'd strongly recommend it. :p
