I found an error in the CD. If you look carefully, you will read:

<<PRODUCER: MILE OLDFIELD>>

MILE! Curious, are not?

Where is this, Pikalcazar? It's not on the Disky copy (the one I have...).

Yeah, the history is this:

- A friend gave me an ORIGINAL copy of FMO, and when I opened the box of the CD I can read in the CD: Producer: Mile Oldfield.

It's possible what that phrase was only in a few copies, but in my friend's CD I read MILE, not MIKE...

That's interesting...

It must be a mistake that only appeared in some editions. My copy certainly says 'Mike Oldfield' there.

The mystery deepens...

Mine says 'Mile', too! I never realized this. Now we aren't suggesting that MO has anything to do with Miles Davis?? Or John Miles??? Maybe that's why it's Five MILES Out? (There's a Miles Davis album called Miles In The Sky, AFAIK!)
(My copy's number is CDV 2222 00777 7 86425 2 7)

Archangel: If your CD is blue, you own the 1st Edition (UK). If it's silver, you own the reissue (UK). (See Discography at Dark Star.) So I guess it's just an error that has been removed in later editions. Mine is VI 863 022 (NL), and the error isn't there.

But maybe it wasn't an error initially, and the error is in the 'correction'...?

Yeah, probably some guy said "let's cut some stuff off"...So he removed the two lines from the k in FMO, and also the beginning of the Sailors Hornpipe in TB... tongue just kidding tongue . -Carsten-

That's an interesting "error", IF it's an "error". Just joking smile I don't have it on my DISKY copy.

But, what do you think about this interesting "Five Miles Out" error. I bought the Killing Fields HDCD remastered soundtrack and in the back of the cd case there's all the information about the album. (For example the producers and all the usual stuff) BUT, the information isn't for the Killing Fields album. It's for the Five Miles Out - all the information for the wrong album. Nice. Painstaking work, ay? Has somebody noticed it too?
