Hey, all! I come now to surprise you with me latest cover. Yes it's been a long time coming. It just hit me the other night after not listening to Hergest Ridge in forever and a day that Hergest Ridge would sound good in this style. It's currently a work in progress, so that means it's not finished and any tips/advice/opinions/comments/constructive criticism can still be freely contributed. I plan on adding another theme or two from HR to it. Hopefully I'll do that before the week is out.

Enjoy.

The link is dead now. Dead.

Please consider placing it at

www.ourmedia.org

or some similar site. I'm not sure if ourmedia.org is as good as it appears to be. It does look to be good, however.

I was fortunate enough to download this before it died. It is fantastic - for a work in progress.

I was walking back to the car from the Rayleigh Rail Station yesterday evening, listening to Hergest Ridge Part 1 and thought how wonderful it would be to hear it played live.

And this is how I could imagine it sounding live - heavier guitars and drums, more pace and brought up to date. Thanks for sharing this with us. More please!  :)

I finally was able to get into my regular server again so I added the new links it should be fine now. I'm uploading as I type so if you click on the link and the file is incomplete that could be why. Just try again later.

Thanks for the words so far :).

I got it, and love it. It sounds finished enough for me. Are there plans to do the ENTIRE album?

No, not the entire album, just a couple of the themes.

Glad everyone can download it now :).

Fantastic, Brandon, just really, really fantastic. :) I especially like the sheer POWER of this... the drums sound awfully real!! :) Keep on with the VERY good work. ;)

P.S.: I don't think it needs any additions, but if you really want to add something, add the theme that's sung in Part II, whose words sound a litle bit like Gorlan, Di-ena, Labarto, Oncorta etc. :D

Thanks! I hadn't planned on doing that theme, but I did have some nice power chord chugging renditions of the part 1 version of the 80-stormy-guitars theme and also that one other theme that plays at the beginning of part 2.

Didn't you have an old "Chant in HR" item to discuss these words? If you did, I cannot find it.
