Well I never knew that about The Ridge being the final resting place of many victims of the Great Plague. I've heard about Hergest Court/Ridge being the setting for The Hound of The Baskervilles , and not Dartmoor, as widely believed. www.bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester/features/2004/04/hound.

Strange then I found The Ridge to be so peaceful and tranquil  , if it wasn't so nippy up there of an evening, at an altitude of 1389ft or 426m for those who prefer metric. No Black Shuck, (eastern England name for the rather fearsome looking black hounds) would put me off of going up The Ridge .

I love The Ridge too. I've now decided that I MUST try and visit Kington/Hergest Ridge annually  .
