Really?Where can i get a copy of this film?I want it i want it i want it!!!(jumps up and down like a spoilt child).

There's been no official wide scale release of this film though you can hire it from the Arts Council or some such organisation in Ipswich, UK for about £60 I think! The internet has come to our 'rescue' here though so, as indeed Ommagest has ommasuggested, get yourself along to this link

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7056669413467832719#

I think it's a fantastic piece with some wonderful quotes and co-ordination of film and music. For example; when the narrator says 'this moment' as the sun brakes over a hill and the first piano note of 'First Excursion' strikes, beautiful!

Andrew Taylor's Mohribold album has proved very popular with fans of symphonic-rock, prog-rock, psych-folk and indeed Oldfield's classic albums!

Just one month left for the HR & Ommadawn Caribbean mixes! :)

I can't wait to see the brand new www.mikeoldfield.com. Current design is a little bit misleading, but not that bad!!

Hmm. There doesn't seem to be a great deal happening, does there?

No updates to the existing (albeit Tubular Bells 2009) website.

No relaunch of the old, more comprehensive MO website (although the old MoTS-themed MO.com still seems to be 'lurking' in cyberspace under the 'u-myx' title. How odd! ).

And no news/publicity/pre-press info about the forthcoming re-releases...

It does not bode well  :/

Yes, good point. Let's hope something's in the pipeline - or should that be tube-line?  :)

Hi everyone  .
My freind who has a independent record shop tells me that a this moment he has had NO info on the HR and Oma reissues . Which if they are for April would have been pre sold into shops already .

If I hear anything new i will post , Pink Floyd ( EMI ) always leave it late to presale , they always give a date then pull it if things are not right .

Wikepedia seems to be certaiin that the HR re-ish will have the 74 mix.But then who trusts Wikepedia?

Well, I think that piece of information probably came from here! We were told back around June last year that the original mix was a definite thing, but a lot of time has passed since then (and apparently Virgin promised the same thing when they did the 2000 remasters).

I really have very little idea what's going on over there at Universal at the moment - we occasionally get the odd 'news coming soon' message, but so far the news hasn't come!

As for what's happening with mikeoldfield.com, again, who knows...it was nearly two months ago that they indicated it was coming back soon (which I kind of took to mean within a few weeks), but it so far hasn't. The reason for it disappearing in the first place was that the domain expired. It's been renewed by someone, but we're not 100% convinced that it's Universal. They keep indicating it's all under control, but every time I look at that smirking woman who's currently gracing mikeoldfield.com, I can't help wondering if it really is...

At a guess, I'd say that the old site reappearing with the u-myx domain is probably not particularly deliberate. I imagine that when they decided to redirect mikeoldfield.com to tubularbells2009.com, they were left with a spare hosting account (with all the old content still on it) and the old u-myx domain floating around which for one reason or another just got pointed at the old hosting account (or maybe was pointed at it all along...it's been so long since it was a URL the majority of us were interested in looking at that I suppose not many of us checked). That domain's due to expire in September this year (no idea about the hosting account though) and I'd not be surprised if they don't renew it...but who knows, maybe they have some kind of grand plan they're not letting on about!

O'RLY?

Excellent news!

I can't wait for the magnificent new official website launch.

Current promo picture looks quite promising!!

Now, seriously. Will those albums be released in just 60 days and no pre-order has been confirmed yet?

Considering I got my TB Deluxe Signed box months later of its global release, we should be expecting get our damaged boxes and scratched vinyls by the end of summer...
