Anil Prasad of Innerviews has published an interview with Hansford Rowe, who played bass with Mike in Gong sessions, in Platinum, and in Mike's 1980 tour.

I read this and enjoyed it a lot. Hanny sounds like a great and honest guy and kudos to him for kicking his drug habit.

This is the first time that Pierre Moerelen's drug problem has been mentioned outright. I sort of anticipated it judging from his diminishing returns to the music industry over the years. As a versatile and professional drummer he should have been in demand for recording projects, which he was not.

Poor guy. Loved his playing and his music.

yes, also enjoyed this interview and felt a good deal of sympathy with Hannie - good to know he's still giving it a shot.

I enjoyed this interview! Thanks a lot! I like when interviews are consistent, this happens rarely. I mean, sometimes the guest speaker is a very nice, smart person but the questions that he has to answer are just bullshit. Do you know what I mean? In order to make a great interview, the interviewer has to know how to make a elevator pitch, and after that create a road map with questions for the speaker. I guess this is what happened for this interview! The questions were really great, and the answers were even greater!
