Great! I'll start working on the drum track as soon as I can.

Unfortunately I'm rather busier than I expected these weeks and as a result I don't anticipate being able to contribute as quickly as everyone else seems to be doing. In fact I think it's best for the project if anyone else would like to do the second synth part as I don't want to slow you guys down.

Good luck!

Who's mixing this anyway?

Mat Cochrane expressed a provisional interest, but I think it really depends on whether he's free to do it at the time when you have everything ready to mix, and whether you want to wait for him or not.

If not him, then I'd be glad to assist someone else, though I can't promise to be able to do much more than give advice on how to tackle the various problems which may arise.
It would certainly make a good learning experience for anyone looking to polish up their skills on the production side of things.

I know how you feel, Booster! Now our bits are done it's just the waiting that's left. Although I'm surprised no-one else has even posted in a fortnight. Mind you, it is that "C" season isn't it?

Everything okay guys?

Err - sorry, everything ok with me. Just very busy and I assumed after my post you guys would continue without me. Please do so - I still plan to do something with my music for this forum and hopefully participate in creating something new but at the moment I have difficulty concentrating on making music and I do not want to make vague promises about when I should be able to do it.

I feel kind of guilty now of slowing you all down though, or is it coincidence that when I posted about this going to fast for me it all seemed to slow down? ;)

Now that classes are over, I'll have much more free time at my disposal, so I might consider working on it again. I was spending most of my time on my own mega musical project (haters of video-game-sounding music, beware! :p ), so I think I'll want something else to do in the mean time. ;)

I hate to be the one to point this out, but I think the tracks are completely out of sync. The synth track is two beats too late, and the bass track is something like 2/3rds of a beat too late. (I'm not sure about the exact delay on the bass, but I'm almost certain that the first notes of each track should all be on the same beat.)

Hope this helps,

Carsten Haese.

Yeah, I gotta agree, it's horribly out of time! I don't have the drum track, but when I got the first two bits (one being my own) I did a quick mix myself.
I'm perfectly open to mixing it myself if no-one else wants to. Just send me the drum part and I'll make a quick mix.
