Could the unidentified woman in the pink top be Daphne Griffiths? The kids had to be driven to the Manor for the photo shoot so it would be understandable if Mum was included in the photo as she was there.

Plus, i think the little girl looks like her!  :)

Very much so.

I think we should be called "The Unofficial Yet Inoffensive Ommadawn Alternative Picture Character Impersonation International Research Department",

which would be as well known as: "TUYIOAPCIIRD".

By the way... my condolences to Ugo for the great shock at the World Cup: Slovakia 3 - Italy 2.

I'm not interested in soccer, least of all in the World Cup. I couldn't care less about this year's shitty Italian team being out of the World Cup. I didn't even care much 4 years ago when they won...

They all grew up and got married, and now they listen to '3 Lunas' on their way to work and their kids only wanna know about Hanna Montanna and 50 Cent and think Ommadawn's a weird name for their parents' childhood choir!!!

No, they don't listen to 3L. They listen to jazz, or classical music, or Music of the Spheres. :D But I guess you're right about their own kids' music. :D

Not intending to change the thread of this subject but... have you ever wondered what about Aled Jones, the child singing 'Pictures in the Dark'???

Take a look at this:

(Some of) the people who played on Ommadawn. Mike, Terry and Sally Oldfield, Leslie Penning, Julian Bahula, Ernest Mothle, Lucky Ranku and Eddie Tatne of Jabula, Clodagh Simonds, The Penrhos Kids (Jason, Abigail, Ivan and Briony Griffiths), The Hereford City Band and "Herbie" who ended up being replaced with Paddy Moloney on the final release. And, as has been pointed out, the kids' mother. Not sure who the guy sitting to the left of Mike is. Doesn't look like Pierre Moerlen in any case.

Also, I have to say it. Clodagh Simonds looks exactly like the amazing banshee she sounds like. ;)

Come to think of it, it's probably William Murray who also co-wrote the lyrics to "On Horseback".

I have just asked Leslie Penning if he remembers who is the lady in pink... if he says something about her, I'll post here!  :)

Mistery solved, directly from Leslie Penning:

"The lady in pink is definately from the Hereford City Band. I did not know her personally but I remember her from the conducting session. Ommadawn means a lot to me too. It took a lot of time in my life and was a lot of fun."

He's a very nice man really, thanks Les!!
