Mines pretty self explanatory and I can't recall the thought process before I came up with it, just that Belle is a female and I am obsessed with everything Tubular. (I even bought my kids Tubular Bunk Beds! he).

I did not know about the aeroplane named TubularBelle until long afterwards when someone on this site spoke about it.

Speaking of MyCoalField in the other thread, it is a little disappointing that someone who can come up with such a cool name does not contribute to the site at all, MyC, where are you?

Did I win that by the way??????

I've usually lived in Hiawathaland: place names. postcards. advertising, billboards from the "Song of Hiawatha" abound.

Mine is a smutty pun on my name and testicles.  It has nothing to do with Mike Oldfield at all.  Unless he likes smutty puns about testicles.

I think I must have explained the story about how I came up with my name somewhere. Okay, for those who haven't heard, I am a huge LOTR fan, and have been since I was about eight when my Dad used to help me read the books. During the huge hype surrounding LOTR due to the films between 2001-2003, there was a site where you could put in your name, where you lived etc., and it would tell you what your name would be if you were a Hobbit, a Dwarf, an Elf, or some other Tolkien creation. The name I would be if I was a Hobbit was Soim Sandheaver.

The name stuck out a bit, mainly because I thought of myself as a Hobbit because I am quite a small person, and my nickname at school was "Ickledave". I tired of my friends saying "Ello, Dave!" almost every time they saw me as a result of being fans of "The League of Gentlemen", so I forged an alternative identity I could use on some Internet Forums, such as this one. I prefer being known as Soim Sandheaver or Sandy, as opposed to my actual name, mainly because I'm a very shy person in reality.

Oh yeah, and I doubt they'd let me call myself "The Administrator"

Piltdownboy: There's a piltdownman (Mike) on TB, and I thought, well, I'd like to be his son!!

On horseback: Lovely song. Piltdownboy Earth Moving 22 sounds stupid! So this title fits in a name..

22: to do with age!

arron11196...

It's from my email address. That was originally conceived as my name (really?) and then the two places I lived between - 111 Sydney St and 96 Regent Road...

Makes sense huh?

Well revel in it, because you won't get much more sense outta me today :)

bee ~ because I like bees. Very much. I also like seahorses & dragonflies, but those words didn't sound so good. I love everything about bees, their social organisation, how they've been a part of our lives for many hundreds of years, honey & it's health giving properties, & the mystery bees have about them, their ancient knowledge. They make me happy whenever I see them.

And it's also the initial letter of my surname

Okay, for those who haven't heard, I am a huge LOTR fan.

Me too.  Bill Bobaggins is a name I use from time to time on various forums, etc.  Obviously it has nothing to do with Mike.  It's just supposed to be a funny version of Bilbo's name.
