Hi,

i just bought my first guitar (squier).
Anyone know why there's thin plastic wrap over the pickups? it kind of came loose but it's hard to remove because it is straight under the strings. it looks like the wrap you get over mobile phones when you get them new.

it's annoying! :)

I just got rid of the plastic wrap, they told me it's customary to remove it as it is just to protect the pickup.

I tried recording something but as I try to use native guitar I get this 'krrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhh' noise like the signal is not clean at all. But they did say my e-mu 0404 usb has a preamp input, so I'm confused....
