There's so many great quotes, here's some of my favourites, I don't know if I can include song lyrics too!!!
My signature ,is I've quoted very much over the last two weeks, Mike certainally was right on that one. I didn't feel glum on Hergest Ridge, my friend had never seen me so happy.
"There is no Dark Side Of The Moon. It is all Dark" Gerry doorman at Abbey Road Studios whilst Pink Floyd were recording the legendary Dark Side Of The Moon album. Also from DSOTM " I've been f**king mad for years, Absolutely f**king years" . Me perhaps???
"If anyone at my funeral has a long face, I'll never speak to him again" . Stan Laurel on funerals.
"I'm not as dumb as you look" Their First Mistake (1932).
"That's another nice mess youv'e gotten me into" , Oliver Hardy. Contrary to popular belief, The phrase is Another Nice Mess and not "Another Fine Mess" as often quoted, The latter being a title of a three reel Laurel and Hardy film from 1930.
"Who Breaks A Butterfly On A Wheel " Sir William Rees-Mogg. Title of an Editorial in "The Times" in June 1967, about the (in)famous "Redlands" drug bust, in which I believe Jagger and Richards innocent set up. Sir W R-M wrote the Editorial in defence of Jagger, had he been any ordinary young man and not Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones the sentence would be far less harsh. (or words to that effect)
"Oh, who is that young sinner with the handcuffs on his wrists? And what has he been after that they groan and shake their fists? And wherefore is he wearing such a concious-stricken air? Oh, they're sending him to prison for the colour of his hair"
A.E. Houseman (Shropshire poet).
-------------- I'm going slightly mad, It finally happened, I'm slightly mad , just very slightly mad
If you feel a little glum to Hergest Ridge you should come.
I'm challenging taboos surrounding mental health
