My first Oldfield cover,

First of all i must apologise for the terrible sound quility of the guitars, they are crap. The amp isnt to great either...so i can't record any nice distortion sounds :(

Ok, i know its far from perfect and it's alot faster than the original. But still i had a go and thats what counts :P

Fast Guitars (right click save-target-as) 993kb

:D Comments/Critisicm?

Hmm... hard to comment. The composition is Mike's, and you already mentioned the guitar a some points not being perfect, so there's nothing else to comment for me. :D

Maybe a little off-topic remark. Reading the chat history of that chat session with Mike a few days ago, I saw Mike advising you to make your own tubular bells. Don't take that to literally! Don't spend the rest of your life making MO covers.
Yeah, I know, It's maybe a bit early to say such thing at your first Oldfield cover, but if you are planning to cover the whole tb, well, don't do it just because Mike said it. You're to good to be doing that, IMO.

Just to be sure...

He said "try learning to play tubular bells" ;)

I'm already working on an original album so i'm not gonna spend my life doing MO covers...it's just that Fast Guitars is one of my favourite parts and i thought it would be cool to cover it :D

You're to good to be doing that, IMO

Thanks, i'm very flattered that you said that. That has gave me more confidence in my abilities..:D

Album should be finished within a few months

Alright, my mistake.

Good luck with your album. ;)

First of all, outstanding quality overall. I think the guitars sound more or less ok. You can tell they are a bit on the down side, but it's ok seeing as the rest of it is very well produced.

Look forward to that album!
