Every time that a new record is released some people who had been
waiting for it is dissapointed. They say that the cover is not appropiate or
the tittle is not of their taste. I my opinion nobody can say to an artist how
to make their art. The artist is absolutely free in his creation and he don't
may be influenciated by any fashion. If someone feel the need of doing
something then can become a new artist. I only want to say thanks to Mike for
all his music and I hope he will continue composing without finding the people
approval.

The Millenium Bell surprised to me for the orchestration (I remember
killing fields and amarok). The other great thing of that record
are the choral sections. The human voice is really the most impress instrument
of all. I like it very much.

An artist, especially a rich artist such as MO, Jean Michel Jarre or anyone else in that range, can of course do and record what he like.
But also he has to live with the fans feelings and meanings on each piece of music, and he has to be careful for not to lose the connection to his fan base by producing bad or unfinished-like music over and over again. Of course MO in particular doesn't have to create "Amarok"-stylish music again for years, but he has lost IMO some part of his creativity by repeating his music too much.

I totally agree with Marc and pielawa. Yes, a artist is free to do what he wants, and yes, he also has to be careful that he isn't to lose the fan connection.

When Jarre made "Zoolook", very many people thought "what a strange album!"
Jarre just did what he wants, and many people eventually did like it! So, you see, it always ends up that almost everybody
will like it!
