well, if u had asked if Mike did a tune named "Enigmatism", the answer would be "yes"....

there's also a conclusion between the guy behind the band Enigma (M. Cretu) and Mike.....

Well Mike used a similar style to Engima on Songs Of Distant Earth, but he has never recorded anything by them or collaborated with them.

However, he has collaborated with Michael Cretu - Cretu co-produced some songs on Islands, and he and Mike are great friends.

Quite right, how you think Enigma is very similar to Mike's music, I love Enigma due to the similar 'oldfieldish' qualites

A large portion being instrumental, the chants, the voices. repetative sections, long buildups, etc.

I feel that Enigma emphasis with the late 70's type of music where mike was one of the formost leaders in atmospheric, spiritual and emotional music. (others: Tangerene dream, Steve Hillage, JMJarre)

Enigma use this formula (although a bit more up to date), thats why I like it.

If a reader has not yet listened to Enigma except for their top singles tracks and liked them, then the most economical album to buy is:-

Enigma trilogy (in 3 CD's) has first 3 albums

There is one track of Enigma, where guitar is played by Oldfield! Album: Enigma - Metamorphoses and the track with the same name, where Oldfield plays guitar piece!!!

That were written in Enigma homepage some time ago!

Dark Star once reported, before The Screen Behind The Mirror (Enigma's fourth album) came out, that Mike was going to contribute guitar to a song.

However he doesn't appear on the album - whether he actually played on any tracks recorded during the sessions is unknown, but I have a feeling that he didn't.
