I never get bored with this song.
I've been lucky to get the video from vh1 uncut "Embers", that he played. "Embers" is really something special from Guitars and maybe the song is perfect performed on this video. The dark and deep guitar touch me inside everytime i hear it. This is my favorite song to play with my spanish guitar.

Do any else love the song like i do??

Of course! But you probably know it already in my case. ;) I also like playing it on guitar.

AAH GREAT THREAD!!

As I've maybe said before, this is the song I always play when I'm in love and I'm dreaming endlessly (which is very often, but I have the hormones to blame)

The mood suits it perfectly!
The reprise From the Ashes is great too
(btw: EeToN, I knew you'd post in this topic)  ;)

Jes its a perfect end on the album.
This hole "Embers" gives me "rain and autumn" feelings. I dont feel romantic but something else. Is just like this; i always play it when im thinking and have to rest, and this i do best when the rain fall down.

Ah, yes... that suits it...
but also a picture would suit very well of a couple of boys lying in the grass, drunk from the Hungarian wine, while the sun goes down, with Embers playing on the radio...
(ok, this is just my summer holiday 2005 I'm sketching)

A few years ago, my brother in law died of a brain tumor aged only 47. I liked the guy from the moment my sister first brought her new boyfriend home to meet us. We became good friends and would be out drinking together about as often as he took my sister out (somewhat to her annoyance :D ). He was diagnosed with the tumor, and was dead within three months.
During the time he grew close to death, I found myself playing Embers a lot and couldn't help but associate the piece with his plight because of the image of the dying embers, and the day he died I felt From the Ashes was so fitting, because he had finally risen from the ashes and gone beyond the pain. Despite all the saddness, both pieces bring such wonderful memories of good times with a dear friend, and I play them both often.

Sorry to hear about that, TanGram...

It's hard having to lose someone, and music can sometimes be a comfort, or it can just remind you of times gone by, be it good or bad...

Greetings, Stefan.

Wow... really strong storie..
Sad to hear..

Im must say that was a fabulous way to draw a picture with "embers" and "the ashes"
Very deep and very strong, just like the song.

Just like the mood of them. When you clearly listen to Embers, it is almost a vacum. The silence is is there and the guitar is talking.

Thanks for this story Tangram..

Thank you both for your kind words.
I wonder sometimes what a world without music would be like. How on earth would we deal with the pain life inflicts on us all?
