Sorry if this has been explained before.  after reading many posts here I've noticed the confusion surrounding the availability of the DVD in Region 1 and NTSC so our American friends can watch.  Well, it is available in Canada -- which is the exact same standard, and it will play in America.  You may be able to get it as an import, so need to get the UK version and convert.
