Thanks for sharing this music - fantastic. I could dissect it and give a more detailed opinion, but then that's all it would be; one person's opinion. All in all I think you have done a fabulous job of what must have started out as a mammoth task  ;)

This is really amazing, covers and all. So much work must have gone into making this. Thanks for letting us download and enjoy it.  :)

I have to admit that I am enjoying this cover of "Side 2" more than I am the original right now.

One of the best things that can be said about a fan track is that it highlights the strength of the original composition in a new way. These Tommes tracks do just that.

I have listened to your re-recording of the Ommadawn album around 10 to 15 times (admittedly as background music to work on occasion), I could pick faults and view my preferences with instruments, but all I can really do is applaud you for a truly great effort in putting the whole concept together - well done! (and thanks). ;)

Well done, that man!

I love stuff like this, I covered an album by James once (but it was much simpler and I did it in 24 hours). I'd very much like to cover a full album by Mike but I'm not sure if I have the talents yet. Maybe as a long term project.

I'm very impressed anyway having just listened to part 1, very faithful to the original.

I know it's been a long long time ago when this remix was released, but actually I would like to know if there is a new chance to find the archives for download.

Since then, I still have it kept in one of my lot of PC discs for a listening from time to time, and I find it quite complete in many aspects. However, first post links doesn't work anymore...  :/ that's why I'm actually asking for a place in which all tracks and labels are possibly available

BTW, I admit I've been lost since last time I posted in the forum...

Hi Folks.

After a long time I am back.
I made an Ommadawn Rerecording from the whole album, but instead of "On Horseback" I've made a single called "Ommadawnea".

The album includes parts with a real Bagpipe-player, a real Opera-singer and a real Viola-player.

In fact it is a complete album, I decided to make a nice CD cover.

CD Cover Thumbnail (Full CD Cover, RAR including Front, Back and Label, ~1.3 MB)

Download tracks:
Part One (~17 MB)
Part Two (~12.5 MB)
Ommadawnea (~3.3 MB)

Hope you will enjoy the sounds and feel free to post your comments.

Thx to jotbe-fx.de for hosting the tracks!

I really frustrated by these www hosting services which have only lifespan of hamster life for files provided for sharing.

Does someone has these files and can provide this cover for listening?
