Last weekend I discovered Colin Masson, a multi-instrumentalist from the UK focused on playing guitar, both acoustic and electric, who released two albums I want to recommend in this forum:

Isle Of Eight (2001)
The Mad Monk And The Mountain (2010)

Both are mostly instrumental with musical structures striking similar to that what we used to hear from Mike Oldfield more than twenty years ago.

Worth to check out:

Colin Masson - Tilting At Windmills

I myself can't stop listening to The House On The Rock, a 17 minutes lasting epic with marvellous guitar sections.

Enjoy!

I actually quite enjoyed that in the main.....however, some of the synth drifting over the guitar seemed out of place in a couple of sectors. Maybe a case of less is more.
