Pres de Toi is Closer with Bagpipes and what about Lakme?

Lakme is a cover of a classical piece called "Flower Duet from Lakme" by Leo Delibes, made famous by it's use in the British Airways advert.
The 'Fruity Loops' is software Mike's using that has the tune as a demo, I think.

Sorry it took me so long to figure out the tune  :D

Rumour has it that the CDs are being hand-made on a manual CD-stamping machine by a little guy with a broken arm in a wooden hut in the heart of Tibet, where the only transport is provided by an old lame donkey.

Matters have allegedly been made worse by Amazon running out of string to tie the parcels up with.

Alan, you are the 3rd funniest guy on this site, and yet, that is probably so close to the truth it's not funny! Don't know whether to laugh or cry, where is my album?

Ah. so it is available on eDonkey as LAME-encoded MP3 files. But only using the old client. Thanks for the announcement!

Mine arrived this morning with a Tibetan 'Donkey Express' postmark. (I expect yours is being rowed across the ocean to you as I write this Tracy, so don't worry.)

I don't think the donkey can handle more than 3. It's a double album, remember.

YIPPPEEE!!!!!  I'm so pleased for you Alan :D .   Happy listening.

I did order my copy online, but since it had'nt been posted by last weekend, decided to go to the HMV Shop and pay the extra and buy it there.  I'd phoned my nearest HMV in  Luton to reserve a copy.  Apart from the pre ordered copies that were downstairs I only saw ONE copy in the whole store.

How is L+S meant to make any impact on the album charts if the copies appear to be rationed :/ .

Don't worry I've been waiting nearly three weeks for a CD from a small record label by an  artist, who is relativly unknown. I happen to know you've exchanged words with him , in the most pleasant and politest terms ;) .

I think you're still talking to me, here, Galadriel - yes? I wonder why it's taken 3 weeks? He's normally superfast.

Well, it's worth the wait. A lovely CD, which I've played every day since it arrived. He's a very talented fellow and a very nice chap!

Can we narrow down which sites are sending out which version?

I got mine from cd-wow, and had the u-myx tracks, not the extra 2 tracks.

A cunning ploy to get me to buy the othe rversion, then yet another when the 5.1 appears?

Mine hasn't arrived either but it will be here soon - that's good enough for me. I'm afraid I no longer salivate at the expectation of any new CD given that expectations can be destroyed within an hour of receipt.

I would prefer that copies have sold out anyway - it shows a demand that companies have not catered for and that can only be positive for Mike at this stage.

And mine too! It finally got dispatched today. We ordered it using the slower (and cheaper) delivery option, thinking that it would be dispatched during our week away on holiday (a very nice holiday it was as well) and it would arrive a few days after we got back. That seems to have backfired a bit on us, as it was only dispatched a few days after we got back...

Yes finally, the email arrived on Oct 1st saying it was dispatched on the 30th, so should arrive by the 10th. I got mine normal delivery too, I looked up the cost of the faster delivery and it was about 24pounds I think but don't quote me on that, too much anyway.

Well we now know we were talking about two different people! Strange coincidences there!

For the record - I was talking about Jörg Lang (Langdana), but Galadriel wasn't.....

It looks like it has'nt charted anyway - at least in the UK

http://uk.launch.yahoo.com/c/uk/album_charts.html

Hardly surprising, given the lack of distribution, let alone promotion.
