Quote (Scatterplot @ July 18 2009, 09:53) | "I prefer, things that involve drilling, screwing or banging"! Thats funny! I like your style!
PS: yes I know you were talking about nails. On a footnote, I just can't promote Eddy enough. At 25, I would have thought he was cute and moved on to the next bar, or circa 1990, a magic year, there was no internet, only "bulletin boards" served by 2400 baud modems. No 9-11 paranoia, yet...text only BBS's that allowed opposite sexes to meet. A great time. Yet, what greater companion is there than a little white somebody with big brown eyes to jump in your arms and say "You are my world!" Then shove a rubber pink pig against your leg, "Throw it!".....There is nothing better....yeah right Jim, look at Rose Byrne! Well Rose Byrne is not here. |
Oh yes I've just seen how that post might be a bit rude
BBs's ?????. In 1990 long before the days of computers, were mainstream. Oh yes in the days before terrorist attacks, oh but in the UK we had the IRA, alright before 9/11, 7/7 and the "war on terror" , yes if people want to blow themselves up in the name of religion fine, but don't blow others up. I think the 70's were a good time to have been young, apart from having the 3 day week and power cuts, maybe youve got to travel back further in time for British life to be at it's best, yes i would say the late 50's and into the 60's, oh yes I couldv'e had my youth in the late 60's, rather than in the 80's of Thatcherism, and high unemployment. Maybe in some ways I can't knock Maggie too much, (but I hate her for destroying many livelehoods) as things are worse, under this present shower.
How on earth did I get on to politics. Maybe this sums it up for me 1968 was the only year British forces were not involved in any conflict since 1945, we can't sort out the world.
I think maybe that was me reminicing and ranting at the same time. Oh yes I have to agree with you about furry companions, except mine is little black with green eyes, and she likes chasing balls and furry mice and playing with pieces of ribbon. Your time will come again Jim, Going back four years ago, I had my taste of freedom on Hergest Ridge, as i was ina marriage that had run it's course. I thought there was a time I wouldn't find love, but it came up and bit me when i least expected it, so my tip is don't bother with dating sites, I've found them a waste of time and money.
BTW who is Rose Byrne, an't say I've heard of her.
-------------- I'm going slightly mad, It finally happened, I'm slightly mad , just very slightly mad
If you feel a little glum to Hergest Ridge you should come.
I'm challenging taboos surrounding mental health
