This actually got covered before (that's assuming we're thinking of the same version of the song, which I think we are), though I don't blame you for not finding it, as it's well hidden (the topic is under Lyrics & Language, and is called 'Early Nights').

Hmm...exactly in how many songs do the lyrics
"when night's on fire" and the concept of "two birds flying higher" appear? Three? "Islands," "Early Nights," and "When The Night's on Fire?" ??

M-C, who has not heard Early Nights (and who is hoping this wasn't already discussed but is cotton-eyed at the mo...) <<-;

AFAIK Early Nights was the early version of WTNOF, which then turned into Islands. Am I right, Kgs? smile wink

Well yes, "Early Nights" is just the name that somebody gave to an MP3 of it...It is an early version of "When the Night's on Fire"...

It probably did evolve into "Islands" in some way or other - obviously some of the ideas are shared between them.
The idea of the birds turns up in the video, 'The Wind Chimes' as well...I forget whether two ever appear together, though.

Ok, so let´s go with [k]Early Nights[/k], that name is as good as any other one. btw, my girlfriend and I prefer EN over Islands and WTNOF, although they´re very good songs too
