It's almost certainly a router setting that needs attention, but we need an expert! Gary, Andy or Andreas

I did it. Right now it's off.

I've started the router's cd but it wants to restart the router. Should I go on with that?

I don't know maria. There should be a way to access the router and make the changes without restarting it, I think.

Have a nice game, and hope there will be some more soon!

You should be able to acces the router by typing something like 192.160.0.1 in your web browser, maybe for you the numbers are a bit different.
then you have to log in. If it's on factory settings it might be admin/admin, but that should come with your documentation
In mine port forwarding is in the advanced section

I think I've done the port forwarding.
Are you still in?

Nada, 'not connected'.
I've followed the advanced config and everything was fine, but I don't know if I have to do something else being a wifi router.

Maybe if I use a cable to join the computer and the router?

Ron's right. If you look at the manufacturer's documentation, it should tell you somewhere what the IP address of your router is. If you type that into the address panel in your browser, you'll get access to the control panel of the router.

On my router I select 'advanced' (I have to enter a username and password which as Ron says will probably be Admin and Admin by default.

Then select 'application sharing' - and there should be an option for creating an entry for a new game. Unfortunately they're all slightly different in the way they present themselves. In mine, the settings are:
Protocol: TCP
Port Range: 45321-45321
Translate to: 45321-45321

If you post here the details of which router you've got, maybe one of the other folks will know about it? Gary was always good at this stuff, I recall.

I've installed the cd and there's some software for the advanced configuration. I did the port forwarding as you explained on the guide, but maybe the problem was that I set the address tr3s lunas gave me when I tried to be the server, but I'll check if I can get my address somewhere else
