Hi Bubba and welcome.
Always good to hear from another Aussie.
Plenty of catching up to do, dont forget to  give Guitars, Voyager, & L&S a listen - a few of my faves.
Cheers.
 :)

@ nightspore; I agree, we all know wiga secretly wants to be an Aussie, she hid all those empty VB cans in her last piccy, and she loves sheep... say no more

Well, "bonza Sheila" is an honour - thanks  :)

The Kiwi jokes are a bit scary though.   :/

Yeh they have run their course .
And don't translate well.
In all fairness for a Country of 5 Million or so they seem able to field world class sports teams ,make great movies and flew a plane 15 years or so before the Wright bros.

Here is another tumbleweed inducing joke.

What did the cannibal say after eating a Clown.

He tasted a bit funny :/

You're welcome wiga, and you never know you could probably have a shot at being Prime Minister later, ours has just streaked her hair and god she looks a dag.  :D

I'll delurk long enough to throw up my hand for the "let's get Mike to Australia" project, since seeing him live is the No. 1 thing on my pre-expiration list of doing stuff.

Some possible incentives:

* Like boating around islands?  Why not try the biggest island in the Pacific.

* The nation lives on beer (and we do have some very good cheese as well, if you feel so inclined).

* A thriving tobacco market - you want it, we can get it.

* The girls are unbelievable!

* You could stop in to visit Terry in Queensland (ok, ok, maybe just swing by for lunch then be on your way...)

* Great place to raise a young family.

* Huge music industry, folk festivals abound and tons of resources.

* Adoring fans who will (more or less) leave you alone on the priviso you knock out a few concerts/albums now and then and will lead better lives just knowing you're here.

Honestly - what more could he want?

You're no doubt right, Wiga. On the other hand, some years ago an inebriated New Zealander confided to me that he had in fact indulged the tastes alluded to in these jokes. I remarked to him that he was doing his countryfolk no favours by making such admissions! Also, consider the images in the University of Canterbury's coat of arms:

I have no idea what the instrument below the sheep is, and I have no intention of making enquiries!

Welcome to your new non-lurking status, Andronicus. A further inducement might be the Oldfield River in southwest Western Australia (not far from Ravensthorpe).

You've got the job, Wiga. Bob Hawke couldn't have given better answers - and, in fact, gave exactly the same ones!

You may as well be # 1 Michael.
With NS #2 and me #3
As none of these fans post here anymore :/
Shame really.

Don't forget TRCanberra, who posts now and again.

He does - again and now even  :D

As noted on another post - rumours of my demise (though possibly much anticipated) - are, erm, sorry, lost the plot ...

You missed all the excitement with the Tublarian of the Year, TR. You should especially look at Milamber's finale. What a lad!

Hastengas - are you back in Australia. <waves> :D

I forgot to say, I hope you remember us and log in when you get the chance, inbetween your busy touring dates. I'm wondering if you might be Bryan Ferry - he's doing a concert in Sydney this month.   :p

Nah, not yet Wiga (Jerry?), Im off tomorrow actually......just been checking out my mate up in QLD to see if he is ok.....all is well so far Im glad to say. I did volunteer to go up and help the floods clean up, but Im told they had over 60,000 applicants and board and lodging could be/is a problem with so many out of towners helping out.

When is Bryan Ferry playing? I might pop along, Im sure he actually lives close to us in Kent or used to...

I'll be logging in every few days no doubt, I'll not forget my log in name anymore either...I still cant remember what it was....possibly Ommadawn something or other, but I guess the posts will no longer be registered.....has to be nearly ten years ago.
