Actually, following up on the AADD thing...I had actually stopped by to update the calendar Re: the Second Life Saturday meet-up, saw this topic and nearly forgot to change the date. Dunno what that means. /-: Reminds me that there is an Asperger's group in SL. IIR, they meet regularly at Health Info Island. It has been suggested that those with A/A are able to more easily interact in a social setting in Second Life. While the initial reports were just anecdotal observances without any type of rigorous study, IIR there is serious research underway on virtual worlds and A/A.

What does it mean if you got bored half way through and gave up?

 Brilliant.I think it means you`re in the ok group. If your`e not sure though you could always try this. The only problem with that particular test though,is that the worse case scenarios never actualy make it to the end. 47 for me.

proves what I always knew..I am happier when left to be in my head than when I have to come out of it! (my point of view anyway so yes, entirely subjective) - whether it's 'healthy' to be that way, i really couldn't say...

...all I know is, music helps, a lot

Yep. All their cover versions are 25 seconds long and three times as fast.

I must be a pretty focused son of a B to get 13. Anybody who knows me on this site knows I am stuck in the past and daydream/fantacise a lot. Yet I seem to be able to focus on the task at hand. The next obstacle to negotiate. I love living in other worlds in my head(hence my gravitation to MO music), but I accept grim reality and realise it exists and negotiate it in way that is conducive to survival. Hiding in fantasy is fun(remember I work with blind as well as autistic kids). Nevertheless, I'm proud of my score given how deeply buried I am in my own psyche. Related note, I'm so looking forward to my move. I've got music in my head. Reams of it. Plus older stuff never put down. Jim

Actually, that would be quite a good marketing gimmick for a band keen to make a buck!

25. I'd say any score is good in a test like this. Also, 25 is a nice round number

Revisiting this thread and my score has sparked me to leave a post(gee Jim, what?).....I should have done far worse. Internet tests like this are fun.....but I do live in my own head quite a lot. I shut out the world quite a bit and focus on music or memories or computer games. I tend to watch a movie(tonight was the remake of the Andromeda Strain) and shut the world out like I was inside the movie.
Anyway, my move is 90% towards completion. The new place is very quiet. Perhaps too quiet. I was hoping for more social interaction. I do regret some of my racist remarks from the past regarding mexicans(Their behavior in my old dwelling). But this place while nice, is dull. Perhaps the best environment to record in. I think my goal of recording that 1 hour CD by age 50 might not be realistic. I've got a lot to organize. Plus, I've slowed down. Damn, when I was 28, I could move in one DAY! Funny, I got my theremin(not vitamins, the antenna instrument) out of there today. Along with keyboard stands and mic stands. Oh well, I've missed Tube-net, this was an opportunity to leave a longer post. Miss it, and Y'all(redneck slang to mean "you all"). Stay cool and keep listening to MO. I think 45 minutes of HR is in order here.....
Jim

Gee Tubes, I don't want to start a new thread. Just an addition to the above post. Sometime Sat. night my car was broken into, a total of 3 cars broken into that night in my new dwelling-place. They/it/him smashed my passenger side door window, glass everywhere. This is funny though....they took nothing. They went thru my glovebox, papers scattered everywhere. Such dumb criminals. I had letters in my glovebox with bank account/credit card account info, all ignored.......If I had ripped myself off, I could have gotten quite a lot. So much to steal, tools, a carpet steam cleaner....all left alone. Strange theif(s). Anyway, the mobile glass people just left. New window is intact for only 158$. I guess that was my initiation to this apt. complex. It is a very nice area. I guess Austin is just a crappy place no matter what crevice you decide to crawl in.

PS: unintentional but clever use of alliteration above.

Jim/Scatterplot - buggar! - hope that's just a one off. You say the place is dull and quiet, that sounds like a good blank canvas to me. My thoughts are, boring is good, better than drama and chaos.
