Quote (nightspore @ Jan. 13 2018, 01:37) | I've always been fascinated as to what the tower on the cover would look like if viewed from above. It has a very precise, intricate shape - not just a rectangular block. Any architects out there able to offer an opinion? |
It wouldn't surprise me if the block was Tubular Bell shaped from above.
Just kidding, it doesn't look that way, but it could or should have been. Because the seeshore is a recurring image on some Oldfield sleeves.
Interestic topic: also one of my favourite Oldfield covers.
On the back sleeve the text lay-out has a nuclear cloud shape. It puts the entire title track in the cold war context, if you ask me. Hence the videoclip of Shadow On The Wall.
