I'm loving the Vocaloids. Seriously. Singing robots - how cool is that?

Cheers, Holger

Your 'YAY' is echoed here in Bedwyn  ;)

It's a nice change, real voices are sooo 90s

Yeah. Having real human voices on songs was just a brief, flitting fad whose time has long gone. :)

Where the Falls of Minnehaha
Flash and gleam among the oak-trees,
Laugh and leap into the valley."

Hehe  ;)

I personally think the Vocaloids are great on Light& Shade, although on another album it wouldn't have been that great (ie used by another artist), I'm sure.

And... I've been censored twice in that thread...  :D  I'm so honoured

i like them a lot too in the context they are and i'm thinking mainly in 'surfing' because it's the most proper song imho.. there's a mix of machine and warmth in that song that still makes me feel "uneasy".. they are like voices trapped behind the screen speaking sad and sweet about dreams..  they are cold but at the same time there's something.. a bit like hal 9000. it's a great song, it flows so well..

virtual voices have sense in 'shade', they are well placed, my only 'but' is 'tears of an angel'.  i wouldn't mind it had real warm voices, but the music is so more important than the voices, it's more an instrumental than a proper song and the whole is so beautiful.. so it's fine as it is.

i agree with those who think virtual voices are a good experiment, and i'd love to hear virtual voices like these in maestro or tr3s lunas. now there are some bits, but maybe for a next game he could give them some more importance. i can imagine a gravi~cantor  or a daliphant~loid singing sad and lonely far in the distance :D
