yidneth Group: Members Posts: 5 Joined: Mar. 2004 Posted: July 07 2021, 13:31 It's been  a long time but I just recovered my pass yay  Well my name is Priscilla Hernandez, and I'm a New Age/Fantasy composer. But I sometimes like to do tributes to music that was a great influence for me THIS IS MY COVER OF ODE TO CYNTHIA. VIDEO ON YOUTUBE The link above is to the cover on youtube I didn't know the code to make it show on the forum, but the gif above is a fragment of the video. Actually Ode to Cynthia is a poem written by Ben Jonson in 1601 inspired in the mythology of the Moon Goddess. Cynthia is an epiteth for Artemis, the Moon Goddess born in Mount Cynthus. Sometimes portrayed as huntress but also protector and guardian of the wild animals of the forest, and her companion is a sacred stag, so I prefer to imagine her as guardian using her bow against those trying to hurt the creatures that walk under the moonlight. With deep admiration. I think I found this forum many years ago when someone shared a cover I had collaborated in (five miles out) that I don't even find myself anymore. You're just another pseudonym of Mike Oldfield, like everyone on this forum, except me.   Incantations was a dull record when it was released, and it's ridiculous to think that anyone except you, Mike, are interested in it now. How are things in the Bahamas?   Why don't you do another album under your "Project System12" byline? Many of those albums are much better than your official releases. Back to top

For years I seemed to be pretty much the only person covering Incantations and now two covers come along at once (see other thread re Incantations)! If you wanted to do the Song of Hiawatha I can supply the backing tracks! See my Youtube channel Thank you, I actually like the part of Ode to cynthia because it's a poem from Renaissance that follows along the mythology of the Goddess of the Moon. I went to the channel. and thanks for the compliment... yes, well maybe it's not the most popular part but I used to wait for this part to sound on my cassette, probably this one, Five miles out and To France are recurrent for me  There was a collab of Five miles out A TRILLION YEARS AGO that I cannot even find myself hahah Thanks also for the offer, for now I really like to do my original music and I only do a cover from time to time, they all happen quite spontaneously, so it's you never know when it rings on me the urge to do one hahaha thanks for the lovely comment as for the previous comment...
