AMAROK!

It's Mike Oldfield at his BEST \o/

If boxed is listed then so should Children of the Sun be IMO.

When it comes down to it - Ommadawn is the MOST vital.

Well-looks like we have a majority.
It looks like Tubular Bells will always come tops in polls because it is far more arty and successful than Amarok. Amarok was just a wishy washy joke that failed in the sales charts, whereas Tubular Bells was the most unique and commerial album of all time. You must realise that it is more of an art for an album to sell millions more, being more commerical and classy at the same time.
You must realise too that the reason why you geeks all seem to want Amarok to win 'cause you're all sick and tired of listening to Tubular Bells 'cause you've heard it thousands of times.
Let me point out that no matter how many times you've heard Tubular Bells you cant argue with the fact that Tubular Bells is better because it's classier naturally,it's sold millions, launched an empire and will not ever be beaten in that respect.
Get over it geeks!

I love how people treat subjective things as being objective just because that's how they feel.

Welcome to the board, douche-bag.

Tubulargiant I must disagree with you about Amarok. The reason Amarok wasn't as succesful as Tubular Bells is in my opinion because Richard Branson and virgin didn't give it any promotion because they wanted it to be called Tubular Bells 2. I must say I haven't listened to Tubular Bells thousands of times, just approximately 30-50 times, but IMO Amarok is better than Tubular Bells. Amarok makes me feel on top of the world, it makes me incredibly happy, whenever I feel a little depressed I just listen to Amarok and I get very euphoric. Tubular Bells is a great album IMO, but for me it lacks some of the how-should-I-call-it? spirituality I get from Hergest Ridge, Ommadawn or Incantations, so that's why I don't like it as much as those albums, also I don't like Tubular Bells as much as Amarok because it doesn't make me so intensely happy as Amarok.
