It's frustrating that this album is not on Spotify, when all of Mike's others are (bar RTO)

Fairly inexplicable too - doesn't Mike own all the rights, or didn't he sell them on to Universal?

I mean... my mega Spotify Oldfield compilation (called Ascension) has a couple of notable holes on it, for Northpoint and an excerpt or two from The Wind Chimes.  Most annoying.

Could its absence have anything to do with an intended remaster that stalled when the reissue program was cancelled?

Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe it is being held off for now because there is a deluxe edition on it's way :) or maybe It's wishful thinking on my part :(

Maybe Ugo is engaging Spotify in a long conversation about the meaning of "North Point" (it's about Hell, if anyone is interested)

And yeah, I can imagine how baffling it must be when a beloved album isn't available on Spotify, especially when the artist's other works are there. It's a puzzle, considering rights and ownership. By the way, if you're into music promotion, you might want to buy spotify plays. Websites like this offer Spotify promotion services that could potentially give your tracks a boost.

As for your mega compilation, the missing pieces can indeed be frustrating. Hopefully, over time, the gaps have been filled, and your compilation is even more complete. Remember, music has a way of bringing people together, no matter the years that have passed.

It is a strange one, but this is the main reason I don't use the likes of Spotify, I still buy CD's that way I can listen to the album at any time, without having to worry about situations likes this :)
