It feels like a middle point between Ommadawn and Amarok.

To say otherwise: it feels really well :D

PS It seems to have two clear groups, like 70's albums had side A and B (CDs didn't exist back then). I would guess side A would correspond to the right image, while side B would be the left image, ending in the "climax ending" part and having both jigs as bonus tracks, in a similar way Ommadawn has "On Horseback" or TB has the Sailor's tune.

i surely hope there is a little thing like "On horseback" that has gone missing in oldfields production, or there is the thing on discovery deluxe, but lets hope this is better. much better

What do we think AF means before 22-26?

That seems to be the slow building big finale Oldfield used to do in the 70s. Taking into account that this seems to be the side A, I would guess it means "Finale of the Side A" o, in short "A Finale", AF.
