The main difference s that there is one version which has the (Apple Macintosh only) multimedia track included, and another that has not. I've got the second, with a dark, 'spacy' cover design, bought shortly after its release. Don't know if the enhanced version also had a different cover desgin then, but at least recently saw a low-cost re-release with a different cover (see discography entry : http://tubular.net/discography/TheSongsOfDistantEarth.shtml)
