Sounds like a fairly typical piezoelectric nylon sound to me!

That's Adrian Thomas with his Les Paul double cut. You can see it more clearly in the Berlin 2000 video.

It's a pity that there's no official footage of Then and Now tour '99  :/

true. there are only a couple of unofficial complete videos,

one is London 13/07/99, and I think Udine is complete ?

yes those are complete

All video recordings i know from t&n are:

-Udine Castle (1h41m)
-Udine Castle (different and better) (31m)
-Udine Castle TV news & extract (2min)
-Hamburg extracts (1-2min)
-Dresden extracts (6min stereo)
-Mallorca TV extracts (8min)
-London (1h45min stereo)
-Singen (13min)
-La Coruna TV extract & report (24min)
-La Coruna audience show (1h8min)
-Castro Urdiales (1h33min)
-Katowice TV show (37min)
-Ubeda (1h40min)
-Barcelona TV news & interview (5min)

in my opinion most enjoyable from those is Udine 31min recording.
hoping to see more pop up in future...im sure more is recorded but they just not been shared..yet.
90% from those listed above i have in vhs but dvd isnt really option to transfer them into digital format so im waiting better formats but i will temporary transfer them to D-VHS because of high bitrate and no quality loss.

I've just had a look at the Then and Now tour - he went to 35 cities in 6 weeks! - that must have been grueling.

Shame there's little record of it. Good to see the Ommadawn bit from Udine. Played beautifully. That's how I remember it at Birmingham...
