Crises Group: Musicians Posts: 142 Joined: Nov. 2002 Posted: Nov. 08 2003, 16:09 Hey everyone, I've been working on a new Opus. As yet unnamed. It's in its alpha stage at the moment, i wouldn't usually post it until it's finished. But since you guys are always so helpful giving me advice and constructive critiscism, i thought i'd see what you guys think of it. The whole composition is a bit flat, weak and messy at the moment, but i think it has a lot of room for improvements. The mix isn't great either. Anyways i'll stop yabbering, take a listen. It's quite low quility because i had to fit it on my geocities account which limits 5mb. Opus Pt.1  [6:32]  [4.48mb]   (Right Click- Save Target As) Cheers Johnny - Aka. Nice guitar, little bells work well, good quality. Hergest Ridge like composition, it's simple, but it works. Especially the themes at 2:34 and 5:20. I had to search very hard to find something I don't like.   I'd suggest to make a decrescendo at the end of the high bell-like theme you start at 2:51 and end at 3:01. I think that would add that little bit more emotion to the piece. Nice job! I'm gonna listen to this more often!l -------------- Read everything I write at own risk.
