!!! THIS IS NEW MIX LOOK FOR NEWER POST FOR DETAILS AND TO COMMENT PLEASE !!!

Hello,
here's my first attempt to completely remix mike's work... I think it's a nice piece of dreamy but sometimes also a bit silly and agressive trance download it @ http://www.rebirth.nd4spdworld.com/staff/Muse.mp3

Korgscrew and Olivier: thank you ;)

Yes, very trancy indeed! You prove with this you indeed are a trance dj, and I also think this is the genre you're best in.
I always thought 'muse' (and guitars in general) is a bit plain. So I think it's an exellent idee to use it for dance music purposes. With this track you can spread The Word of Mike at trance party's!  ;)

About the track itself: the sound is great, the effects are good, and the drums are ok. They sound sometimes a bit strange (I mean, strange places you use them), but I guess that's just because I'm not into trance music.

It really sounds professional. If I liked trance music, I centainly would go crazy about it. Congrats.

Well I am a complete weirdo so that's why I use drums sometimes in strange places that's what other trancers say to me also :) but I want to play and perform completyl different...be weird!

Kind of reminds me of Zelda for some reason hehe. All in all, very good. Very gentle and dreamy-like. Doesn't go too crazy. Very good use of the tune. Great job!

honestly, i have to say i'm not a huge fan. but then again i'm used to big names like Tiesto, Oakenfold, etc.... when it comes to trance/dance . So its hard to compare a minor home mixed track to a studio production.

Cool...
I think you should work more on the mix. It almost seems like you've done nothing with it. The mix seemed very unfocused. Use EQ to lift the parts that are important out of the mix and make them more upfront. Lessen the use of reverb as well.

Ah yes, quite nice, one suggestion in this one would be to lose the backround fuzzy effect and crank up the beat, its the beat that makes trance! Very nice job here :)

hmmm I am always trying to make "Euro" or "melodic" trance...so that's not beat what makes trance...it's so much emotions and dreams put together in one song...you must feel it that's what makes trance trance...

Well, I agree with you, and your piece certainly does achieve a 'melodic' kind of sense. I admire the effect, my suggestion could have been better worded. I think it would liven up the song to have a louder beat, but still have the melodic element there. A unique concept, perhaps, but thats just my opinion ;)

That's actually the only reason I like trance. Trance songs that are really emotional and capture feeling are true trance songs.

well this quote says all:
