I would be very, very surprised if they were trying to pass that off as something original. It's not a terribly good imitation either. Not saying that people should rip it off and Mike would be wrong to complain, but the music has reached such a status that it's more a cultural icon than a "private property". The music took on a life of its own. Besides, Stereolab have been stealing ideas since they could call themselves a band, and they still rule. Ween have done parodies of more artists than you can count with all your fingers and toes, and they do it well.
