I may decide to properly learn electric guitar. I already play the piano, and the basics of classical guitar. I want to play like Pink Floyd, Chris Rea, and Fleetwood Mac, although the plectrum scares me (again, piano + a bit of classical guitar, you touch the thing directly). Probably not in a band. Should I get a cheap guitar first and once I kind of know, I can test for one that suits me at the shop? Or could I directly buy a nice one, would that make the learning experience better? And what effects too? I wouldn't recommend a cheap keyboard to learn the piano, for example. But it's not the same thing, guitars have more personality and buying a nice one when you don't know how to play may not make sense?
