There is no bad part is there? The whole thing?I don't really know the names but if i had to choose it would be the bit preceeding the bit with the fake fireworks with the blindingly fast guitar solo.Oh and the ending which to me is the classic Oldfield build up and release.

My favourite parts of Amarok are:

a) "The Boat" which is similar to TB (played with Piano, Farfisa, Glock., African Drums, Guitars...)
b) "Margaret Thatcher' Section - very funny piece of joke:D
c)"Roses" and "Big Roses" with the Accordion and Flute
d) The part after Intro (I don't remember the Title:(

--------------
Grand Piano
Glockenspiel
Farfisa Organ
Lowrey Organ
Hammond Organ
Roland SH2000
Mellotron
Fairlight C.M.I.
Oberheim OBXa...
... and My Guitar always plays in my dreams

I can't possibly decipher which part is my favorite, but there is one section that grinds my nerves. It's the part arround the 16 minute mark where the music is all calm  then all the sudden it goes silent then theres a huge sound of breaking glass :O. I always forget how realistic it sounds!

Somehow, I missed this thread. I like all of Amarok, except for the introductory minutes and the "anticlimax" after the tubular bells section. The Thatcher joke - like all jokes - wears thin after one or two repetitions.

Amarok is a climaxing masterpiece, I love absolutely ALL the climaxes in there. So satisfying when they resolve.

The king of them all for me is Amarok finale... just WOW.

Missed this thread too.

It's a great question that deserves an answer:

13:17 to 14:59   Didlybom

16:11 to 18:00   Hoover

24:47 to 25:06   Fast Waltz 2

34:26 to 36:03   Slow Waltz   -> always liked that one very much. This part comes to my minds when I think about Amarok.

There's no part I don't like, can't answer this one.
