I was listening to it and the drum pattern reminds me of Crystal Clear, and there's a loop I've heard before in another tune I can't remember at the moment...

Cooks Tune is great.

Why can't he do an album filled with these litlle ditties?

Does anyone of you want Cook's tune? Just send me a PM. :)

@ administrators: please don't remove this. I'm not providing links for mp3 downloading and I'm not offering the track illegally or for free. I'm selling it. :D

@ EeToN: you caught it before I did, but... there goes the Led Zeppelin sample AGAIN!!!

Woohoo! Listening to "Cook's Tune", I now know that the "Mike Oldfield of Sailor's Hornpipe, Portsmouth, Bodhran, and Pipe Tune" is not dead. He's in there somewhere!

All of those hoping for Ommadawn III (or is it II?) still have some hope.

Euhm, which song is "Bodhran"???

Cook's tune is an arrangement of a traditional, right?

That makes the non-original melodies on L&S:

*Closer / Près de toi
*Romance
*Lakme
*Cook's Tune
*Slipstream (is a Fruityloops demotrack)

And the rest are original melodies by MO. Correct?

I agree with the rest about Cook's Tune, but it sounds so different from Light & Shade I'm wondering whether anyone can tell me whether they know anything about it i.e when it was made and why it's so different from the rest if it was made at the same time?

Perhaps to prove to himself that he could still do it with his new setup, or that he even wanted to.

Grr! I really like this song at it's only 128 kbps!

Still gonna wait for the B side release and extract it.

The problem is that when you select "save file as", it comes up with a message saying "file not found".  Maybe there's a changed link.  Does anybody have a fresh one?

They want you to listen to it from their site.

If you are really devious you get a low grade mp3.

The problem is that it's just a link to download a file that isn't there.  You can't even listen to it online.  Has anybody got it from there yet?

Tubularman: thanks: I finally heard Cooks Tune :D
Should deafinately have been on L&S...
At the end of the song you should have heard Mikes voice saying: 'I'll be back'
For those who found the link didn't work: just click on it and don't follow their advice to 'save it'...
Now I only need to hear Lakme and Pres de Toi... :)

Bell(end): bad kiddy: you just said the 'f' word  :O
Go and sit in the corner and be very ashamed of yourself :p
