I'm just asking because from the moment I heard there was a double album with a light and shade concept, I knew I would listen to the Shade disc first. I'm wondering whether there are any conclusions to be drawn from that.  :D

Before the album came out I thought I would enjoy Shade more than Light, especially after hearing Tears of an Angel for the first time. However I didn't realise how dancy Shade would be, and so far I prefer Light. I'm sure there are other people with this experience.

Shade.

I wanted to hear first since it promissed me a lot than Light in terms of what I wanted to hear from Mike. Loved it a lot and now I'm addicted to it.

Light was the one on top when I opened the case, and I wasn't feeling in a rebellious mood, so that one went in first.

The same for me.

I always want to make sure I hear the complete CD, so I always start at the beginning.  :)

One exception was when TB III came out. I immediately jumped to the middle of the CD looking for a simular piece of music as in TB I and TB II (where he adds a new instrument while the song progresses). So that was a disappointment  :/

I sure hope that Mike realises what joy he brings to us !

Light. But then, I always start a book at page 1, too.

Although there are two seperate CD's I perceived them to link as a whole album,so naturaly then played Light first -to start at the beginning.

I listened to shade as I perceived this to be the better of the two. I hardly ever listen to light. It is too light! :/

But in book terms, this isn't a novel, it's a collection of short stories. I tend to read those first whose title or apparent subject matter intrigue me the most.

A nice point. Still, I did think there would be some significance in the sequence of the tracks (though I'm doubtful of that, now).

I started with the light CD and listened through that. Then I took the shade CD and it absolutly fitted with my ears. I hardly listen to the light CD even though I feel its a great disc. But shade is so much better in my point of view.

I seem to plan on listening through the whole album, but finish listening after Pres de toi has finished! Must be the psychology of putting the second disc in, or bad time organisation hehehe  :D

I listened to Light first, and thought it was excellent, I prefer Light still just about.....
