For me, it grieves over an imminent loss. Or a farewell.

"Cymbaline", by Pink Floyd.

The last line of verse 1 is clever:

"Will the tightrope reach the end? [yes, because it wouldn't be a tightrope otherwise] Will the final couplet rhyme? [Yes, it's a near rhyme with 'spine']".

I'm not "here in the twilight" - you're thinking of the Manhattan Transfer; they sang about "here in the twilight zone".

No no no - just hold me close; I'm gonna make you a star!

I was wondering if anyone on this forum can identify the instrument on the title theme from Earth: Final Conflict. It starts around the forty second mark, later carries the main melody, and sounds a bit like a sinuous, electronic viola. Incidentally, I was reading about the soundtrack album to the show, and apparently an instrument called "The Tubes" is featured. That is MAJORLY SUSS and Mike should fess up RIGHT NOW to being the ghost writer of the music!!!

I'm on a John Hassell binge. How the hell did ha make a career out of playing the trumpet like that? I mean, it's great, but it's not an obvious crowd-pleaser.

I am listening to Natasha by Sally Oldfield, I love this track, I would have preferred to hear Mike playing the guitar solo though, even though the person playing it does a good Oldfield impression.
