Sometimes your hear a track that sort of stops you in your...,well...tracks...

...maybe this kind of thing isn't to everyone's liking, but I do think it is very beautiful...the whole album is very good...and I'm playing it rather a lot.  The time lapse photography is good to watch too, reminding me that Spring is really not too far away ( for us in England anyway ). :)

Do reissues of old stuff count? I've recently acquired this and the accompanying CD. I'm not sure if this ever got an official release before - I guess that Live at the Hollywood Bowl from 1987 is not the same as this...

The DVD is of best for the show itself, for watching Jim "Lizard" Morrison strut his stuff (but also Bruce Botnick's 5.1 mix sounds very good), while of course the CD is best for the music. Every time I hear the Doors playing live, I'm always amazed by how powerful they sound without a bassist. That's because of Ray Manzarek's fantastic left hand, of course. :D As a keyboardist, I have an enormous admiration for Ray Manzarek - IMHO he's one of the best rock keyboardists in the world, and luckily for him (and unlike a couple of rather unlucky guys) he's still with us. He is also credited as director of the film shoot, cool stuff.

@ bee, re. Of Mosters and Men: they may very well turn out to be a one-hit wonder, but their one hit is great. The video? I don't really mind about it, I see it as just an overblown cartoon.

@ 3Wheeler, re. Kevin Ayers: well, of course I'm a bit sad that he's gone, but I can't say that I really, really miss him. I've never actually liked him - his way of singing, his voice, his style, are not my cup of tea. I've got one CD of his and I bought it for one song. Now he took a Flying Start in the direction of somewhere else. He always looked to me like a deeply tormented guy, I just hope he's happier where he is now.

I saw them opening for Bastille earlier this month, they're very good - mix Florence Welch's vocals-like with Depeche Mode!

BTW,I can't stop listening to Bastille.Debut album Bad Blood is of one my favs so far for 2013:
