It's September 2nd already.  What happened to the "mid-August" release?  Without even seeing an anticipated release date listed for Amazon pre-order, I'm guessing we are in store for a much longer wait than anticipated.  My prediction:  December if we're lucky.

And all Mike is talking about on Facebook is Shadow On The Wall... Anticlimactic...

Great news : no horrible "loudness war" on the new album...

Hi Everyone, getting round to mastering time for Return To Ommadawn. There is a fashion these days to use digital plug-Ins to maximize or brick squash the volume of most audio tracks ( Mostly for radio). Although these seem to make the sound better they do in fact introduce distortion to the music. At the moment the sound is pristine and fantastic especially compared to the original Ommadawn. I would prefer NOT to use these new Gizmos. Do you mind turning up the volume a little bit on whatever system you play RTO on ?
Thanks
Mike

As posted in another thread:
For those of you who don't use Facebook, this is a post by Mike himself today:

Hi Everyone, well things have finally returned to normal after hurricane Matthew at last. I have some amazing pictures and stories to tell about this huge event here in the Bahamas. Just the sound of this monster just a few miles away from our house is something I will never forget. As it happened I was in the process of delivering the final Masters of RTO to my record company when the power and the internet cut out. Luckily I have a small satellite dish on my roof which can send files directly to space so I was able to deliver RTO almost through the eye of Matthew in time to meet the release date. Watch this space for more information... Phew ! Mike

Unfortunately no release date mentioned.

I personally don't expect it to come out this year anymore. I think it will be a winter release, late January to March.

The January date in the Instruments thread, would equate to this upcoming Q&A feature in Uncut magazine.

A deadline of November the 21st, if you've never had the chance before, or if you have and weren't satisfied with the answer you got!  :p

Well, I don't know, I never bought anything from this site, but looks like credible shop. The fact they are using fan-art cover is worrisome, but same thing is on Wikipedia.

What do others think of what might be the cover for Return to Ommadawn?

Personally I think it's uninspiring and pretty awful.

Let hope the music is better!

For sure it's not official cover. Look at "Man on the Rocks" artwork. This font, images etc. I see continuation of this style, definitely not something like in this store.
