I'm uploading another track again...

what I added in...3th part? as it seems to me right after your wild pianos I added a violin solo and a piano solo too. Towards the end I added a lil synth arpeggio which you might like (as it represents a bit of style I usually do to me..) feel free to say no to it...

btw...I had problems with timing of the midi and the audio...I fixed it and will upload it with fixed midi file (my additions inclusive)

-------->
upload done:
what's inside?
- mp3 file (my additions start at 03:02
- midi file (aligned with mp3 file so you just can put them together)
- acd file (for acid pro, includes routing to reason and exact timing of the MP3 - uses the original one by Edo!;)

file is at http://tbproject.djbooster.net/project-b.zip
B means booster additions not that I try to make your work look mine ( :) )

@DarkenedEdo: excuse me, but I can't use the project FTP because your server's upload is pretty slow from CZ :(

please comment!
if you don't like any of my parts feel free to say...thank you

Trying to play along with it by ear is difficult as the key seems to change all the time?  Ray

I start in C minor, so i change in Eb minor and i come back in C minor. I use to slide 3 halftones.

More light and shade than ommadawn but it's a start.

A "modern" amarok maybe?  :)

Ooooooh dear - of course you already said that in your post - that some on didnt ready - that what you get for starting to play and have fun at midnight.

And reading my "Ommadawn" comment - now in the light of day looks negative but wasn't meant that way  ;).  But it is more light and shade and old style

Cheers   Ray

Hi Eduardo,

First I must say, that you are a great….., really a great composer!
Thank you very much, that I can be a part of your project. Today I have downloaded your MP3 File. I put this on my machines. That was not so easy because I don’t produce the music with Logic or Cubase. I’m using the Roland equipment. I must divide your MP3 file in four parts, because of the Mega Bytes. My Keyboard has got an RAM of 32MB. Then I transfer it into a “WAV” file and put this on my Roland Phantom X6 Keyboard. From this I put it on my VS-Recorder. I put then the four parts together. On the MP3 file, I have send you, you hear the “Crunches” when one part leads into the other. But that is only the problem for me. You must need only my tracks. Today I recorded some guitars for it. I’m making a preview mix of it. I do a little bit delay, chorus and echo on my guitars. It’s not a good mix but it is only a demo. I think it works very much and my guitar could be a part of your music. What do you think? :-) I will load my guitar tracks without any effects the next days to your homepage. You get the “Virgin tracks” :-). You can build them into your mix and put the effects you needed on it
I hope you will like what I’m playing on guitar? :-)
I don't know if I could publish this "demo" here for listening. What do you think Eduardo?

Hope to hear from you

Greetings from Germany

Hi Booster,

very well done that part with the violin. I like this very much!!!

I do it also and here is the link to that track with guitars:

http://s4.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1A2ML35QTS8G72I1HHJ82MPKHA

Keep in mind that it is only a demo and not a good mix, just for listening! :-)

I hope I have your permission Eduardo. If not please tell me!!

Greetings

Hey Langdana, can't check your mix quite yet, but ... did you have the same problem with midi as I did? I mean did you use my "fixed" midi or did you use Ed's? ... in case you just played along to audio ignore this question thanks...

good luck all :) I'll see if I can add more later :)

nevermind ... I just read the above post and realized you did play to audio :D

You don't need to fill in an email address on there. It'll give you a link when you upload the file.

By now the group is:
Musically Inspired, Langdana, Eeton, Booster, Ray, Jammer (the nylon-strings bass sounds to me very inspiring), Moonchildhappy.
The not-musicians members will decide the name of the band and the titles of what we'll do (this is a work for Super-Maria...).

So, see you thursday on the same channel with the first step.

I think there's been a slight misunderstanding here, I'd love to join in if I could play.  I try and be musical, but I don't think I'm of a standard to join in a project like this and I have no way of recording myself on this antique computer.   As for my musical ability well I can play a few Beatles songs, and change chords on a guitar, need to get these changes quicker    :/ .  I've been trying to improve my bodrhan playing.  Ask me in about ten years time I might be able to play by then.  I guess the confusion arose over where I said I could "bang my bodrhan", I apologise for the mix up, my fault sorry.

Ray, thanks for the link to Dave Freshwater's site, beautiful handmade mandolins from the Scottish Highlands   :). BTW what's the tuning for mandolins, I think it's different to a guitar.

Er...  Mandolin tuning is Upside down guitar tuning!  but although it's got eight strings you only tune to 4.   :D

It's the same as a Violin.

Oh - and did you see the celtic sound hole!!!! wow.  I'm visiting Dave Freshwaters workshop this weekend to try a Cittern.  I'm looking forward to it.  He's quite close by - only about 100 miles away in the next town.

Ray, it's in tune and it's very good.

For everyone, my e-mail address is info@fayeth.com

When you have the audio file of your parts ready upload or send to me by e-mail (only the part, without the backbone).

Brandon can tell how we've worked on our track, just sharing the instruments parts. so i can use the files in my recording program.

i have an idea, but it's not much "legal". i'll think about it and tomorrow i will tell you what.

I haven't listen to anybody else's files yet, but I've begun on some ideas for Part 2 (my favourite part so far). I've made 2 different versions with different styles. We could use both, one, or neither.

I'm uploading to Ed's site as I type but I've put previews of what I made on my website.

http://brandonblume.commerceculture.co.uk/part2_ideas_1.mp3
http://brandonblume.commerceculture.co.uk/part2_ideas_2.mp3

BTW, Ed, the files I'm uploading are preview and not yet finalized (and still have some effects on them) They're mainly for you to fool around with for now. If you like them I'll record some better and 'cleaner' versions of them.

EDIT: I've decided, like Booster here, to use my own server cuz the download times really ARE slow. Sorry, Ed :). Here are the links to the individual parts:

Just listened to your guys' additions. Very nice!! Booster that violin and piano duo is just awesome. And whoever did those guitar parts they are really excellent also!

I'm excited about this.
